Barefoot freedom, with the fine fit adjustment of BOA®

The VAPOR GLOVE 7 BOA® is a men's model that pairs the VAPOR GLOVE line, a mainstay of MERRELL's barefoot category, with the BOA® Fit System. Built on the barefoot idea of natural foot movement and a close connection with the ground, it adds a mechanism that lets you fine-tune the fit by turning a dial. It keeps the free feel of a barefoot shoe while making it easier to adjust how the shoe sits on the foot, in training, in outdoor activity and in everyday use.

MERRELL BAREFOOT 2 brings out natural movement

The base is the MERRELL BAREFOOT 2 construction, made to bring out what the foot does on its own. A low-centre design keeps the foot close to the ground, favouring a sensation near barefoot and a free, light stride. Working with the movement of the foot itself while feeling the connection to the ground is the idea at the centre of the VAPOR GLOVE 7 BOA®.

The BOA® Fit System and PerformFit™ Wrap hold the foot

The headline of this version is the BOA® Fit System. Turning the dial adjusts the tension in fine increments, so the fit can be set to the foot. The PerformFit™ Wrap construction then holds the foot as if wrapping it, supporting stability and control. The collar is padded, which also improves the fit around the ankle.

A synthetic and mesh upper for lightness and breathability

The upper uses synthetic material and mesh, holding both lightness and breathability. A toe cap at the front carries the abrasion resistance and protection, covering the part of the forefoot most likely to make contact.

The lining and the footbed cover each use 100% recycled mesh. The insole is a one-piece EVA foam containing 30% recycled material. Cleansport NXT™ treatment adds naturally derived odour control.

A Vibram® TC5+ outsole for a wide range of movement

The outsole uses Vibram® TC5+, developed for outdoor multisport.

The shoe is Vegan-Friendly, using no animal-derived materials.
