A pullover born from ice climbing. An icon alongside the TB Jacket
The Tsurugi Jacket is an icon model for Teton Bros. alongside the TB Jacket. Its unique design was born out of ice climbing, and it has won numerous awards both in Japan and overseas. It prioritizes front visibility and freedom of movement, drawing on the advantages of a pullover while improving ease of wear and ventilation.
A diagonal front zip that solves the pullover's usual problem
The front uses the same angled diagonal zip as the TB Jacket. By offsetting the zip from the center, the design avoids having a stiff zipper curve at the center of the garment while still easing the usual difficulty of putting on and taking off a pullover. This keeps the front clean, stays out of the way when leaning forward, and helps secure the view of your feet, which matters for climbing. A double-slider ventilation opening runs from the neck to the side of the torso, inheriting the same angle as the TB Jacket. It cools the whole body efficiently by venting the underarms while also staying easy to put on and take off.

This season's update: Tamak fabric balances weight, comfort, and durability
This season the fabric has been updated to the new "Tamak." The main body uses a supple 50-denier stretch nylon chosen for light weight, while 70-denier stretch nylon is placed in high-friction critical areas such as the shoulders and waist. By giving each area the strength and stretch it needs, the jacket achieves a high level of balance between light weight, comfort, and durability. The hem drawcord stopper sits at the front center rather than the sides, a design that avoids interference with gear racked on a harness's gear loops.
A hood adjuster, and range of motion built for winter mountains
The hood has been updated to the same silhouette as the TB Jacket. It keeps the collar tall enough that your neck can rotate and move up and down freely even with a helmet on. A front-pull eyelet-stopper system improves operability, and a stiff internal plate keeps the adjustment angle accurate. Pulling a cord inside the hood lets you fine-tune the fit with one hand, which you can do intuitively even in harsh conditions or with gloves on. The body uses minimal cutting for an ideal fit and range of motion, maximizing shoulder mobility with ice climbing in mind. A sweat-guard piece sits on the inside of the collar where it meets your chin, keeping sweat off the membrane directly while also adding durability.

Pockets, cuffs, and overall comfort
A zippered inner pocket sits inside the left chest ventilation area, handy for valuables and small items. The cuffs use a wide-opening design that pulls on over a glove without fighting its bulk, and a widened adjuster mount gives an even fit. Overall, the supple fit does not hinder twisting motions of the body, and the jacket is chosen not only for ice climbing but also for a range of winter activities including snowboarding. Its genderless design fits a wide range of body types (a women's-fit version, the WS Lady Bug Jacket, is also available).
