Choosing long sleeves in the warm season

STATIC's HIVE L/S is a long-sleeve shirt made from an ultralight mesh fabric built around breathability.

On warm-weather trail runs and hikes, you may want long sleeves to keep your arms covered, yet a fabric that traps heat and sweat becomes a burden on the move. The HIVE L/S combines a mesh structure that lets air flow with a low-water-retention polyester, so it is designed to avoid holding onto stuffiness or dampness even when you keep sweating.

It weighs 110g in size M. Beyond a midsummer active layer, it is easy to work into a long season as a base layer, for example by layering a shell over it as temperature and wind change.

A textured mesh structure that resists clinging to the skin

The inner face has a raised, uneven texture that reduces the area touching your skin. When you sweat, the fabric is less likely to stick to the body as a whole, giving attention not only to breathability but also to how cleanly it releases from the skin.

The fit is a trim fit that follows the body's lines while cutting excess fabric. It keeps flapping in check and settles naturally into layering for trail running or climbing, where you move your arms.

Stretch without relying on polyurethane

Rather than the polyurethane used in typical stretch wear, stretch is created by giving the yarn itself crimp.

By not using polyurethane, the fabric is less prone to holding water, letting it draw on polyester's inherent quick-drying nature. It suits situations where you want to prioritize fast drying, such as sustained high-output climbs or long hours that repeat sweating and drying.

A 2026 model that rethinks durability while keeping the lightness and breathability

The 2026 model uses NEW HIVE MESH, an original fabric co-developed with the textile maker.

While maintaining the previous model's lightness and breathability, the yarn construction and knit structure were revised to improve resistance to tearing and abrasion. The strength balance of the mesh has been redesigned with pack rubbing and frequent wear in mind.

That said, it remains a very thin, soft fabric that prioritizes breathability. Take care with snags on branches, rock edges, and the like.

A pattern with fewer seams around the shoulders

The shoulders use a pattern with reduced stitching, and the sewing uses flat seams that minimize the ridges of the seam allowances.

By tidying up the seams in the areas where skin and a pack's shoulder harness tend to touch, it gives attention to next-to-skin comfort for an active piece worn over long hours.

100% polyester that keeps circulating even after use

The fabric is 100% polyester, of which 45% is recycled material. By keeping to a single-material construction, the cutting scraps generated in manufacturing and the products themselves after use can be returned to polyester yarn through STATIC's ByeHello circulation program.

Products marked "Regenerate me!" on the care label are eligible for collection. It is a product designed not only to be worn as a light, quick-drying active layer, but to circulate its material even after its role is done.

Care and precautions

• The fabric is very thin and soft, so it may tear if snagged on branches or the like.
• Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
• Hand wash, or place it in a laundry net and wash on a delicate or hand-wash cycle.
• Do not tumble dry or dry clean.

Some pressing marks may appear around the printed logo due to the heat used to bond the print. The color will blend in with repeated washing.
