The GOOD FAR GRID-TEC+ Crew-neck Thumbhole & Watchhole carries on the craftsmanship developed under GOOD FAR's predecessor, B.V.D. It's a base layer designed for use in cold outdoor conditions, built to keep you warm while managing moisture and sweat chill. The minimal look works for anyone, with a unisex fit.
Grid-Brushed Fleece for Light Warmth Without the Clamminess
The inner face uses grid-structured brushed fleece. You feel the warmth the moment you put it on, and the grid traps a layer of air between your body and the fabric for strong insulation. At the same time, the fabric releases excess moisture, curbing the sweat-related clamminess and chill that can build up during activity for a steadier feel throughout wear.
Light, Supple Recycled Polyester
The fabric is a micro-type recycled polyester yarn chosen for its lower environmental impact. It's lightweight with a soft hand feel, and its reduced thickness keeps bulk down, making it easy to layer under a mid layer or shell.
Stretch and Anti-Static Performance That Move With You
High stretch lets the fabric follow your body through reaching and bending movements. Anti-static performance curbs the static that tends to build up in dry conditions or from friction, reducing stress when putting layers on or taking them off.
Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Odor for Multi-Day Use
Built with multi-day outdoor use in mind, the fabric adds anti-bacterial, anti-odor performance that suppresses the bacteria behind unpleasant odors. It's an easy piece to wear again over a long hike or extended trip.
Thumbhole and Watchhole Cuffs
The cuffs fold back the grid-brushed face into a thumbhole that covers the back of the hand to block cold wind. The design is modeled on military inner layers, with the idea of layering against the cold drawn from US military cold-weather gear. A slit (the watchhole) is also set into the cuff so you can check your watch without pushing the sleeve up, which comes in handy during running or fishing where you're glancing at your wrist often.
Minimal Design With a Reusable Package
The pared-down, minimal look makes it easy to bring into daily wear as well as the mountains. It comes in a reusable, deflatable package that you can compress down for packing, keeping it compact for travel or an expedition.
