A one-person tent built around short pole storage and a waterproof roll-top bag for loading onto a bike
The NEMO Dragonfly™ Bikepack OSMO™ 1P is a freestanding one-person tent for travel where packed length and the way you carry it matter, such as bikepacking and canoe touring. Minimum weight is 1.05kg. It has a 1.9㎡ floor area, a 0.8㎡ vestibule and 100cm of interior height.
The tent body uses OSMO™ fabric and the frame uses DIAPOLE™ recycled aluminum poles, with Elements™ hardware and the Precurve™ system widening headroom. For transport it combines poles that break down short with a dedicated waterproof roll-top bag, giving a packed shape that is easy to strap to a bike.
Waterproof roll-top storage for mounting on a bike
The dedicated stuff sack is a waterproof roll-top. It takes the short pole segments and carries straps for fixing to the handlebar or head tube, a storage system made for a bike.
The roll-top opens from both ends, so you can reach the contents according to how the bag is loaded. Rather than assuming the tent goes vertically into a pack, it is an accessory made for spreading the load around the limited space of a bike frame.
A quiet look with no reflective material
The tent uses no reflective material and a colorway that does not stand out. It is a specification for stealth camping, keeping a low profile along the way. It is set up for uses where you would rather reflective parts did not catch light at night.
Elements™ and Precurve™ widen the headroom
The forged aluminum Elements™ hub holds the wings of the crossbar facing upward. The Precurve™ system gives the crossbar a pre-set bend, bringing the ceiling closer to level. It is a structure for widening the upper part of the interior, not just raising the peak.
By NEMO's published figures, headroom volume is 34% greater than the previous structure. Without adding floor area to the 1P, it adds the upper space you use when sitting up or changing clothes.
DIAPOLE™ recycled aluminum poles and color-coded connections
The frame is built from DIAPOLE™ recycled aluminum poles, combining hubs and pre-bending. It raises the upper and foot-end walls, creating an interior shape where your sleeping bag and body are less likely to touch the fabric.
The poles and webbing are color coded, making connection points easy to tell apart at pitch. The fly attaches with Axial™ Lite corner anchors, keeping the pitching sequence simple.
OSMO™ ripstop sags less when wet
The fly and floor use OSMO™ poly-nylon ripstop made from 100% recycled material. It contains no PFAS, adds no flame retardants and uses bluesign® approved fabric.
By NEMO's published figures, it holds stretch when wet to one third that of the previous material. Even when the fly takes on water from rain or humidity it sags less, making the gap to the inner easier to keep. Water repellency lasts four times longer than before, and holds its performance five times as long.
OSMO™ takes on less water and dries readily, and it is also made with hydrolysis resistance in mind. It is a material meant to slow fabric degradation through long storage as well as rain in use.
Landing Zone™ makes the vestibule easier to use
The 0.8㎡ vestibule takes a Landing Zone™ waterproof storage tub. Even when the ground is wet or muddy, small items and gear can be gathered without setting them straight onto it.
The door has a Gatekeeper™ tieback that holds it open. Combined with a door that opens high and the vestibule, going in and out and reaching gear can be handled separately.
A daisy chain for use inside or outside
The daisy chain can be set on either the inside or the outside of the tent. You can hang wet clothing to dry or keep light items off the floor, which makes it easier to leave the limited 1P floor as sleeping space.
Nightlight Pocket™, gear loft and storage pockets
Putting a headlamp into the Nightlight Pocket™ at the ceiling diffuses the light for use as interior lighting. An integrated gear loft and a large pocket let you organize a phone, glasses and other small items without scattering them on the floor.
A protected strut vent sits above the zipper flap. It keeps a ventilation opening even with the fly closed, creating an air path that lets interior moisture out and holds down condensation.
Included items matched to the way you travel
Included are the waterproof roll-top stuff sack, stakes, a pole repair splint and guyline cord. Beyond the tent itself, what you need for packing and repair is gathered as part of the kit you travel with.
