This is a sleeping bag whose design source is the US military B-3 jacket, which needs no explanation for those of my generation.
It all started with a proposal from a shearling trading company asking us if we could make something with shearling, but when we learned more about it, we discovered that our company has also been working as a factory for one of Japan's most famous flight jacket manufacturers for many years. It turned out that it was possible to manufacture it using the same materials and the same method.

In my personal opinion, random items like this can end up being just "interesting items" depending on how you make them, so I think it's important to be serious about how seriously you approach them. The first thing I did was to find reinforcements for the seams and various parts, ``horsehide with brown core'' for the pockets, ``buckles with pins for B-3,'' and ``double-sided zippers made of cotton tape that are vintage and suitable for sleeping bags.'' was.
I was able to find the zipper and horsehide relatively quickly, but I couldn't find the buckle and it was on hold for about half a year, but thanks to information from Mr. Konno of NEXUS VII, I was finally able to secure the buckle.
Production has finally begun, but since the cost of materials is far higher than that of regular products, we only use the actual materials in the final stage, and we have to bast and sew with temporary materials (so-called fake shearling) over and over again. We made adjustments, created cutting dies for each part, and paved the way for the final sample, including processing the back of the belt leather.
To be honest, I went ahead with the idea that it would be an item that wouldn't sell (or maybe even one item), but thanks to Factory's reliable technology, the finished product turned out exactly as I had hoped (or even better), so I personally Overall, I'm very satisfied.
In terms of specs, it's not the season for field testing right now, so this is just a guess, but I feel like I can go to bed with light clothing down to about 0 degrees Celsius. It originally has a large silhouette, so if you put a sleeping bag inside as a sleeping bag cover, you can boost it even further to the lower limit. (Please take this with a grain of salt, as the perceived temperature varies greatly from person to person.)
Regardless of the specs, the comfort of shearling when you step inside and the sense of security that surrounds you is tremendous, and it also has the unexpected advantage of not hurting your body much even without a mat due to the elasticity that comes from the long bristles. (Of course, it is best to use a mat.)
The fur around the head is a real coyote detail that has nothing to do with the B-3, but please understand that it is just an accent and the purpose is to make the exposed part a little narrower. (If you don't need it, you can remove it with the DOT button.)
It's probably the most expensive sleeping bag in the world, so if you're interested, please buy it.
