UNWASTED original trail running glove "adapt"

"adapt" is a trail running glove: a half-finger glove with the fingertips cut off, fitted with a stowable hood.
Because the placement of materials and the cut lines of the design are the function and the design at once, excessive decoration was avoided and the glove was finished in a simple design with a single logo.
With easy temperature control through the detachable hood, the feel of the fabric, and the comfortable fit that comes from a pattern that follows the shape of the hand, the aim is for many people to enjoy trail running all day with this glove.
It also comes in a wide range of sizes, so it can be used by a broad range of people.

Staff who run long races also report that they could use it without stress from start to finish, even in races of over 100 km that run across days.
Being able to stow the hood means being able to adjust temperature finely.
On cold nights you can cover your fingertips with the hood and use it like an over-mitten, and during the warmer hours of the day you can quickly stow the hood and use it as a fingerless glove.
This is not limited to trail running; when you want to run with equipment that is as minimal as possible, it is very convenient that one glove can handle a variety of situations.

The back of the hand uses "primeflex mesh," a mesh that also wicks sweat and dries quickly, and it plays a part in temperature control, for example by greatly improving ventilation when the hood is stowed.
The hood part stows compactly without needing to be folded carefully, so it is easy to stow and take out while you are active, which is also a favorite feature.

High-grip material "Nanofront"
Made of nano-sized ultra-fine fibers, it is a soft material that fits well, soft enough to be used for underwear and the like.

"adapt" uses "Nanofront" on the palm.
Nanofront is a very soft material that fits the hand, and you feel no stress even when wearing it for a long time.
The nano-sized irregularities on the fabric surface generate strong friction, so it also offers excellent grip.

A pull tab to help with putting the glove on and taking it off is attached to the fingertips of the palm, and it is made of the same material so that it is not noticeable when you touch things.

In trail running, where there are many chances to touch and grab various things, gloves are a very important item from the safety standpoint of protecting your hands.

Compared with the first model, widening the finger-web part of the mitten hood makes the hood less likely to shift, eliminating the risk of it coming off while you are running.

The material on the back of the thumb, changed from the 2025 model.
Using a sturdy mesh material has increased durability and also improved breathability.
Because it is a lightly brushed material, you can also use it to wipe off sweat.

About four years have passed since adapt was born, and during that time the pattern, materials and more have been updated little by little.
We believe that being able to move quickly to make the model better each time, through in-house testing and feedback from users, is something unique to a factory brand.

Searching for the trail running glove we ourselves wanted to use, we selected materials, made samples and tested them, and finally gave shape to a stress-free fit through trial and error. The result is this model, "adapt."
We hope that people who already trail run, and those who want to start, will pick it up at least once.

"adapt" is an UNWASTED original glove supervised and designed by the "handson grip" team.

Where to measure hand circumference: around the hand, passing through the point one third of the way from the wrist to the base of the little finger.

Choosing a glove size

We receive many questions about choosing a glove size. Use your hand circumference as a guide and refer to the size chart above.

How to measure hand circumference

Hand circumference is the distance around your hand. Glove sizes are generally based on this length measured in centimeters.

Measure all the way around your hand, passing through the point one third of the way from the wrist along the line from the base of the little finger to the wrist, and through the start of the life line on the index-finger side. See the diagram above for the measuring position.

For example, a hand circumference of 23.5 cm corresponds to size M.

If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend the larger size.

As with shoes, hand shapes vary from person to person, so trying them on is best. Please start by measuring your own hand circumference as a reference for choosing a size.
