A wind shell built for autumn/winter mountain running
The Wind River Pod Hoody takes Teton Bros.'s standard wind shell and evolves it for autumn/winter mountain running. Running in light layers while exposed to wind can cool you down fast, risking a drop in performance or hypothermia. This hoody is designed to be thrown on quickly over a running vest, helping you regulate body temperature and breathing while you keep moving.
A rear POD tuck that keeps your arms swinging freely over a vest
A double-fold tuck (POD) on the back expands to wrap around a pack, securing shoulder mobility even when worn over a vest. Without a pack, the tuck folds flat for a trim fit that keeps unnecessary flapping to a minimum. It's an advantage for reacting quickly to wind on a ridge or the morning/evening chill.
Temperature control and access while you keep running
A long zipper carried over at an angle from the TB Jacket functions as ventilation, drawing in air efficiently. The wide opening keeps a running vest's flask, food, or gear on the back within easy reach while you run.
Details that add stability while you run
Elastic cuffs fit the wrist and cut down on wind entry. A thumb anchor keeps sleeves from riding up, supporting a smooth arm swing. The hem has a piped finish, with a rear drop-tail covering above the hips.
Great portability with a packable design, and wind-shedding stretch nylon
The body stows into the back pocket in a packable design, packing down to about palm-sized. Easy to put on or stow as temperature shifts, with little added weight to carry.
The fabric is a 100% nylon mechanical stretch. It balances wind resistance and breathability with a C0 DWR finish, and its stretch doesn't get in the way of your stride. It's balanced enough to double as hiking activewear, and weight is about 130g in a size M.
