La Sportiva's Skwama Lite is an all-around model for climbers who have grown comfortable in climbing shoes and want to work on more precise footwork and harder moves. It is built primarily for bouldering and lead climbing in the gym, while also handling sport climbing and real rock.
A medium-asymmetric last is paired with a light downturn to help channel power to the toe, while the toe box keeps a moderate amount of room. It is not a wide-fit model, but it is easier to dial in than aggressively shaped shoes, making it easy to work into long training sessions.
A softer build that balances sensitivity and support
The outsole uses 4mm FriXion® Black, which makes it easy to feel smears and small footholds. The Delta-Cut design lets the sole flex, helping you match your footwork to the shape of the wall.
A full-length 1.1mm LaSpoFlex midsole combined with the P3® System keeps the shoe soft while providing the support needed to hold the downturned shape and drive power to the toe. Sensitivity is rated 4/5 and rigidity 2/5, a spec that prioritizes underfoot feel.
Details that work in the gym and on rock
An unlined, soft microfiber upper is paired with a breathable SkinLike™ insole. The instep adjusts quickly with a single hook-and-loop strap, and two heel pull-tabs make it easy to get on and off.
A rubber patch on the toe supports toe hooking on steep walls. It is a vegan build with no animal-derived materials and can be machine washed at 30°C.
