A lightweight insulated pouch
The BIG SKY INTERNATIONAL Insulite Pouch is a pouch for holding freeze-dried meals, instant rice, or freezer bags while they rehydrate after you add hot water.
When you make a hot meal in the mountains, the cooking may be nothing more than pouring in water, but there is still a wait before it is ready to eat. Leave the bag sitting in open air during that wait and the heat steadily escapes. The Insulite Pouch is a simple tool for wrapping the bag while you wait.
A lightweight insulated pouch using PrimaLoft®
The insulation is PrimaLoft®, 70% of which is post-consumer recycled material. The interior uses a reflective material, and the fabric is upcycled.
Weight is 28g for the Small and 43g for the Medium. It adds little to the weight of your cooking kit, and it folds down small when you are not using it.
It stands on its own with a bag inside
The Insulite Pouch is freestanding, so you can set it down with a bag of food inside after adding hot water.
At a campsite or on a break, you can wait out the rehydration time without putting a bag of freeze-dried food or instant rice straight onto the ground. When it is ready, take the bag out and eat.
Two sizes, chosen by how much you eat
A Small for a single serving, and a Medium for larger meal bags.
Choose based on the size of the freeze-dried meals, instant rice, or freezer bags you normally carry.

Use it as a cover that holds a food bag or freezer bag to keep it warm. The melting point is 135°C (275°F). Do not place it over an open flame or on a stove.
