■ The optimal answer: "0.4mm thick"
While chasing minimum weight, we chose 0.4mm titanium so as not to lose the rigidity of a proper tool. Even compared with ultra-thin 0.2mm material, the added weight is under 2g—and that tiny difference curbs heat distortion and buys the toughness to handle it roughly in the field.
■ A "cover" design that expands the function
Because it caps over the outside of the cup, it doesn't eat into the internal capacity.
- As a lid: when boiling water, set it on upside down and the rim stands up, designed to be easy to pinch with your fingers.
- As a saucer: it works as a side-dish plate or a cutlery rest at mealtime.
- A packing linchpin: it caps on even with a 110-size OD can stowed inside, efficiently protecting the cooker's interior.
■ Synergy with the Apex series
Great on its own, and combined with an Apex-series cooker it improves the seal and burning efficiency. As pure titanium's heat-tint builds up, your attachment to it as your own "UL kit" deepens.
