Ultralight, year-round socks that warm your feet in the tent or hut
STATIC ADRIFT SOCKS is a lightweight tent sock built with Octa®CPCP®. Easy to use to quickly warm your feet while sleeping or resting, it's handy both inside a tent and during time spent at a mountain hut. Highly packable, it's designed as a year-round insulating sock.
How Octa®CPCP® works
Octa®CPCP® is a mesh fleece material that integrates a brushed, irregular-cross-section hollow polyester fiber — the insulating element — into a mesh face fabric. It balances light weight, warmth, and good heat release. Though typically used as a lining, STATIC uses it as a standalone fleece, putting that function to direct use in this sock.
Two fiber types and recycled content
The Octa® fabric is made of two fiber types, polyester woolly fiber and hollow spider-leg-cross-section fiber, with 53.6% of the woolly yarn replaced with ECOPET® recycled polyester (the remaining 46.4% is standard hollow spider-leg-cross-section yarn). The material overall is 100% polyester.
Comfort the material delivers
- Light weight: about half the weight of a polyester fiber of the same diameter
- Moisture-wicking and quick-drying: absorbs and releases sweat quickly
- Heat-shielding: dead air held in the space created by the fiber's hollow core and eight protrusions delivers a heat-shielding effect
Because heat isn't trapped excessively and releases well, it strikes a usable balance for warmth during rest.

- About 32g per pair (size M/L) — ultralight, easy to carry without adding bulk
- Comes with a carabiner loop, so it can be hung from a pack or inside a tent to dry
This is an item purpose-built for warmth during downtime. Keeping its role separate from an active hiking sock, it's easy to use packed along for sleeping, longer breaks, or the time after setting up camp when you want to keep your feet from getting cold. Octa®CPCP®'s good heat release keeps warmth without trapping it, making temperature easy to manage while sleeping.
Available in two sizes, S/M (foot length about 25cm) and M/L (foot length about 28cm), making it easy to pick by foot length and build into year-round tent and hut gear.

- Cuts CO2 emissions during fabric production by 23% (calculated by Teijin Frontier)
- Dyeing uses biomass-derived rather than petroleum-derived energy
- Fiber waste generated during fabric production is recycled
- Name labels also use recycled thread
