A women's hybrid hoody built for high-output days in the mountains
The WS MOB Hybrid Hoody is a women's hoody that switches fabric by body zone, each with a different function. At 190 g in size M, it's light and designed for use on its own during mountain running. Aiming for a feel between its two fabrics, it balances comfort and temperature control even while sweating.
Fabric placement and its effect
MOB Wool is used over the hood, which covers the head where sweating is heaviest, and over the torso. Axio 3D is placed at the shoulders, upper arms, waist, and underarms — areas that are slow to warm back up once cold — improving comfort in zones that move the most or are most exposed to outside air. The switch points between fabrics are optimized around how body heat and sweat build up during activity, making it easy to wear as a single layer while continuing to move.
MOB Wool (hood and torso)
A blend of 88% wool and 12% polypropylene. Placed on the hood and torso, it focuses on keeping the core warm during activity and staying comfortable to wear even after you've worked up a sweat. The hood includes a ponytail hole for tied-back hair, and it can also be worn like a balaclava, covering the face for use on windy ridgelines or while stopped, holding in heat.
Axio 3D (shoulders, upper arms, waist, underarms)
57% polyester and 43% wool. Placed in zones that are slow to warm back up once cold, this switch aims for comfort during movement. The material makeup matches the men's model, and so does the thinking behind the zone switching.
Where it works best
Built for solo use during mountain running, it's designed to stay comfortable through activity where sweating and chilling alternate. Its light weight keeps it from being a burden to carry, making it an easy hoody to build an activity wardrobe around.
Additional details
Weight is 190 g in size M. For reference, the men's model with the same concept weighs about 230 g. Sizes run S/M/L (no XL in the women's line).
