Move quickly while keeping ankle protection
La Sportiva's Ultra Raptor 3 Mid GTX is a waterproof mid-cut shoe that works across a wide range, from day hikes to fast hiking and long-distance hiking. It aims for the freedom of movement of a low-cut shoe while combining ankle support with a mid-cut structure that keeps small stones and gravel out.
It is easy to use for hiking where you want to keep your pace up, or on long trails where you want more protection underfoot. Unlike stiff, heavy mountaineering boots, it is designed to keep walking over changing terrain by making use of cushioning and freedom of movement.
GORE-TEX ePE for rain and wet trails
The upper uses a durable recycled ripstop mesh, with a rubber toe cap and rand reinforcing the toe and sides that tend to hit rocks and roots.
The lining uses waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX ePE Extended Comfort. Built on an ePE membrane with no intentionally added PFAS, it handles rain and wet ground while releasing the moisture generated while you move.
Stability and grip that support long distances
The midsole is a dual-density structure combining a soft cushioning material with a compact EVA placed at the heel. It secures cushioning on landing while increasing stability around the loaded heel.
The outsole uses FriXion® White and the Impact Brake System™. A 4.5mm lug supports traction on climbs and control on descents, while flex grooves in the sole help keep your footwork smooth on rocky and uneven ground.
