Trail-Shoe Agility Meets Boot-Level Protection
The TRAILVENTURE 3 GTX is a mid-height trail hiking boot that wraps the ankle for extra support. It combines the comfortable, trail-running-inspired fit Topo Athletic is known for with the coverage and protection of a hiking boot, built to keep you moving steadily through rain, wet ground, and tough sections strewn with rocks and roots.
GORE-TEX Invisible Fit Waterproofing
The upper uses the waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane. It keeps water out in rain, mud, or dew-soaked grass, helping you stay comfortable over long days on the trail.
ZipFoam Cushioning and a 5mm Drop
The midsole is Topo's ZipFoam, an EVA/TPU blend built for a balance of softness and rebound that absorbs impact while keeping a lively underfoot feel. Stack height is 33mm at the heel and 28mm at the forefoot, for a 5mm drop, enough cushioning for comfort without sacrificing ground feel and stability.
Vibram Megagrip and a Rock Plate for Technical Terrain
The outsole is Vibram Megagrip, known for reliable grip, with 6mm lugs that bite into wet rock, dirt, and roots for solid traction. A full-length rock plate reduces underfoot impact from sharp rocks and roots on technical trails.
A Naturally Wide Toe Box for a Comfortable Fit
Topo Athletic's signature anatomical wide toe box gives toes room to spread naturally, for a fit that stays comfortable even on long outings. The OrthoLite footbed resists packing out and helps manage odor.
Suited to day hikes, fastpacking, and long outings on wet, rocky, or technical trails. Reference weight is about 434g per shoe (published spec for US M9).
