Merrell MTL Adapt Matrix® : FLOATPRO+™ foam provides both light foot movement and high cushioning
Merrell Test Lab (MTL) has released the flagship trail running model "MTL ADAPT MATRYX®". It was developed for runners who want the best performance even in harsh environments. The ultra-lightweight and durable upper and Vibram® sole unit with the highest grip will strongly support your running.
Upper: MATRYX® technology
The upper material is made of MATRYX®, which is made of Kevlar fiber and high-strength polyamide. It is highly abrasion-resistant, lightweight, and provides excellent protection for your feet. It is also highly breathable, so you can stay comfortable even during long runs.
Midsole: FLOATPRO+™ foam
The midsole uses supercritical FLOATPRO+™ foam, which provides both high levels of cushioning and resilience, supporting light, nimble footwork. It also has excellent stability and can handle a variety of road conditions.
Outsole: Vibram® MEGAGRIP x Vibram® TRACTION LUG
The outsole is equipped with Vibram® MEGAGRIP and Vibram® TRACTION LUG. It provides excellent grip even on wet and uneven surfaces. The 4mm lug depth provides a stable run on any terrain.

Ultra-trails over 100km with relatively good surface conditions. For major competitions, such as the ONTAKE 100 and the Shinetsu Gogaku Trail Running Race, these shoes would be effective.
