Commitment to Natural Materials

At STATIC, we advocate for using natural materials as much as possible for layers that touch the skin directly, minimizing the use of petroleum-derived fibers. The star of the show is "Merino wool." It stores warmth in winter and releases heat in summer. Furthermore, it boasts high moisture-wicking and odor-resistant properties, with an exceptionally soft feel against the skin. There is no other fiber as high-performing as this in the outdoors.

Even during the high-sweat spring and summer seasons, it offers greater comfort and durability. The answer we arrived at after much trial and error is this blended fabric of "Merino wool x recycled polyester."

"Border Mesh" Reconstructed with Bishu Technology

We partnered with experts from Bishu, Japan's proud wool sanctuary, to further evolve the ALL ELEVATION fabric. Its greatest feature is the "border mesh structure" with its uneven surface.

• High breathability: The unique mesh structure quickly dissipates trapped heat.

• Improved quick-drying: By blending recycled polyester, we overcome wool's weakness of slow drying.

• The magic of layering: Worn alone, it's cool and breathable; with a windshell, it traps dead air for insulation. As an inner layer or by itself, it's become an indispensable item year-round.

Environmentally, Skin-Friendly, and "People"-Friendly Shrink-Proofing

Our commitment at STATIC extends to the shrink-proofing process, which prevents wool from shrinking. We employ a "chlorine- and resin-free shrink-proofing process."

Unlike conventional processes, this method does not remove the "scales" on the surface of the wool. It modifies the hydrophobic scales to be hydrophilic and adheres hybrid collagen, preventing fibers from interlocking (and thus shrinking).

• Unleashing wool's true potential: By leaving the scales that govern moisture control, we achieve a product that fully utilizes wool's natural functions.

• Gentle on skin: Since there is no resin coating, only pure wool fibers touch the skin.

• Consideration for manufacturing sites: The developer's remark, "Because we don't use chlorine, it's safe for us working on site," was another important reason we chose this process.

• CO2 Reduction: Uses recycled polyester to reduce environmental impact during manufacturing.

• Circular Manufacturing: Cutting waste generated during manufacturing is not discarded but recycled as material for other products.

• Eco-friendly Details: Tags and labels also use recycled materials and cotton.

• Plastic-Free: Eliminates individual plastic bags, delivered wrapped in tissue paper.
