"ALL ELEVATION = every elevation." True to its name, this is a versatile base layer built to perform in every setting—from the trailhead, to the wind-swept ridgeline, to your downtime after the descent.
A commitment to natural materials
At STATIC, we believe the layer against your skin should rely on natural materials, using as little petroleum-derived fiber as possible. The star here is Merino wool: it stores warmth in winter and releases heat in summer. Add high moisture regulation, natural odor resistance, and an exceptionally soft hand, and there's hardly a more capable fiber for the outdoors.
More comfort and more durability, even through the sweatier spring and summer months. The answer we reached after much trial and error is this blended fabric of Merino wool and recycled polyester.
"Border Mesh," rebuilt with Bishu craftsmanship
We teamed up with the specialists of Bishu—Japan's revered home of wool—to push the ALL ELEVATION fabric further. Its defining feature is a textured "border mesh structure."
High breathability: the distinctive mesh construction quickly releases trapped heat.
Better quick-drying: blending in recycled polyester offsets wool's weak point—slow drying.
The art of layering: worn alone it's cool and airy; add a windshell and it traps dead air for warmth. As a base layer or on its own, it's become a year-round essential.
Shrink-proofing that's kind to the environment, your skin, and people
We've poured STATIC's philosophy into the anti-shrink process, too. We use a chlorine-free, resin-free anti-shrink treatment.
Unlike conventional processes, it doesn't strip away the "scales" on the wool's surface. Instead it converts the hydrophobic scales to hydrophilic and bonds hybrid collagen to them, keeping the fibers from interlocking (and thus shrinking).
Wool at its full potential: leaving the scales that govern moisture regulation lets the product make the most of wool's natural function.
Gentle on skin: with no resin coating, only pure wool fiber touches your skin.
Care for the factory floor: "Because we don't use chlorine, it's safer for our own health on the line"—the developer's words were one important reason we chose this process.
SUSTAINABILITY: our promise to the environment
Lower CO2: using recycled polyester reduces the environmental load of manufacturing.
Circular production: offcuts from manufacturing aren't thrown away but recycled as material for other products.
Eco down to the details: tags and labels also use recycled materials and cotton.
Plastic-free: we've done away with individual plastic bags, delivering each piece wrapped in thin paper.
PRODUCT FEATURE: details that earn their keep in the field
All-season hoodie: covers everything from strong summer sun to the tricky transitional seasons when layering is hard.
Thumb loops: keep the cuffs from riding up, warm the back of the hand, and help block sun.
Long back: a longer rear panel keeps your back covered when you bend over.
Active fit: underarm gussets keep the hem from lifting when you raise your arms.
Comfortable hood: a collar height judged just right, so it never bothers your chin.
