When trail running or fast packing in winter, you want to minimize the number of times you put on and take off your jacket, and also keep moving comfortably. "Active insulation" is the apparel designed to meet these needs. We invite you to experience the best fabric and pattern we've chosen.
☆ The pattern has been adjusted so that when the hood is worn, everything except the eyes is covered, allowing it to be used like a balaclava. It incorporates all the necessary features for winter running, such as thumbholes, watch windows, and a double zipper.
☆ The main material used is Polartec Alpha® (active insulation that combines warmth and breathability), which provides moderate warmth and lasting comfort by preventing stuffiness. Additionally, grid fleece is strategically placed on areas like the abdomen and wrists, which you want to keep warm, creating an optimal material mapping for different parts of the body.
☆ When it's windy or you want to warm up at the campsite, layering a shell over it creates an air layer between your body and the outer fabric, dramatically improving cold weather performance. It also pairs very well with the Onion Hoodie.
