Even in the world of ultralight backpacks, these numbers stand out. The TRAIL BUM LISSOOME is a 25L minimalist backpack born from pushing the philosophy of UL hiking to its limits.
At the risk of misunderstanding, this pack is simply "a nylon bag with minimal pockets and shoulder straps attached." There's no back padding. No waterproof laminate. No thick harness to support heavy loads. Among TRAIL BUM's lineup, the LISSOOME is the most stripped-down model.

Modern backpacks have evolved to be comfortable for anyone, regardless of how they pack. The LISSOOME takes the opposite approach.
Since there's no back pad, you need to "create a structure with the contents" by folding a closed-cell mat and placing it against your back, or arranging spare clothing to act as cushioning. How can you prevent back pain? How can you stabilize the center of gravity? You think and experiment with every packing. Instead of relying on the pack, you complete your gear with your own knowledge and experience – isn't this the true fun of ultralight hiking?
The main material used is 70-denier washer-processed nylon taffeta. Simple nylon without waterproof laminate has a natural wrinkled texture like cotton and a supple softness. While it's not waterproof, it offers excellent breathability, and its classic texture, which develops character with use, is appealing. The standard UL hiker approach of using a pack liner for rainy weather is necessary.Specs
