Thinner, Lighter 100% Wool Short-Sleeve Shirt

STATIC's RAW S/S is a short-sleeve shirt made from 100% merino wool. Starting from SS26, the RAW series has been redesigned with a focus on thinner, lighter fabrics to suit Japan's long, humid seasons.

The fabric uses 17.5-micron superfine merino wool. Despite being 100% wool, it is a lightweight fabric at 133g/m², offering a soft feel against the skin and the natural comfort characteristic of natural fibers.

This is not a shirt designed to rapidly wick away large amounts of sweat like a synthetic base layer. Instead, it's a piece where you'll easily feel the unique comfort of wool in situations with relatively moderate perspiration, such as travel after a hike, relaxing in a mountain hut or at a campsite, or a day transitioning between town and mountains.

RAW Fabric Re-evaluated from the Yarn Up for Reduced Twisting

The new RAW fabric is made by combining yarns with different twist directions than usual. While general wool yarns are often twisted in the Z-direction, STATIC also uses custom S-twisted yarns. By combining yarns with different twist directions, they have enhanced the balance of thinness, lightness, shape retention, and durability while suppressing fabric twisting.

Thin wool T-shirts tend to have a delicate impression. The RAW S/S leverages its lightweight comfort and is finished in a relaxed fit that is easy to wear for everyday use and light hiking. Rather than a garment for intense activity in the mountains, it's an item to choose as a wool shirt that can be worn naturally before, during, and after mountain activities.

Chlorine-Resin Free Shrink-Proofing

The RAW S/S employs Lavorazione processing for shrink-proofing. This process suppresses shrinkage by utilizing the scales of the wool fibers, rather than using chlorine resin like conventional shrink-proofing methods.

Since no resin coating is applied, the part that touches the skin easily retains the original texture of wool, and the initial softness tends to last longer. This is STATIC's approach to material selection, valuing wool's temperature-regulating properties and natural comfort while making it easy to care for as a product.

A Mid-Layer for Mountains and Everyday, for Relaxed Wear

The fit is a loose, relaxed fit. It doesn't cling to the body and has a silhouette that is easy to wear as everyday clothing. A STATIC logo name is placed at the hem as a subtle accent.

For trail running or high-intensity activities in midsummer where you sweat a lot, a quick-drying synthetic shirt may be easier to manage. The RAW S/S is a piece you'll want to use in situations where you can take advantage of the 100% wool's feel and natural comfort, such as low-mountain hiking, travel, camping, travel before and after mountain excursions, and everyday use.

Environmental Considerations

The RAW S/S uses chlorine-resin-free shrink-proofing, and the woven labels and care labels are made from recycled materials. Additionally, cutting waste generated during the product manufacturing process is not incinerated but sent to recycling業者. Care Instructions and Precautions

• Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
• Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate/hand wash cycle with a laundry net.
• Do not tumble dry or dry clean.
• The RAW series undergoes product washing to minimize significant shrinkage.
• Due to the nature of natural materials, there may be individual differences in shrinkage and dimensions.
• After one wash, fine wrinkles may appear on the fabric surface, but this is a characteristic texture of the fabric and not a defect.

Units are in cm. Length is measured from the center back of the neck to the hem. Size indications are approximate; due to the characteristics of natural materials and product washing, slight variations from the actual product may occur.
