Trail performance layered with the beauty of "dressing richly"
The MERRELL AGILITY PEAK 6 OPULENT is a women's-only model that layers the expression "OPULENT — the beauty of dressing richly" onto the AGILITY PEAK 6 and its real trail performance. Beyond function, the layering of materials and the decoration themselves sit at the core of the design, adding several textures and details to a black-based upper. It carries the protection, grip and rebound a trail asks for, and it has depth to look at.
An upper layered with jacquard, embroidery and gold thread
The upper combines jacquard with TPU, layered with embroidered patches, gold thread that catches the light, and a floral print. Taking in rich materials and decorative details several layers deep keeps the black base from reading as plain, finishing the shoe with a bright, deep expression down to the fine parts.
3D Print and TPU overlays sit where wear happens, raising the durability of the upper. A bellows tongue keeps grit out of the shoe.
FloatPro™ foam and FLEXconnect® behind the stride
The midsole uses FloatPro™ foam. It carries the rebound and the comfort over long hours, taking on the cushioning underfoot on a trail where you keep moving. A midsole structure with FLEXconnect® built in then raises the feel of the ground. It holds the cushioning while also valuing the sense you need to read the terrain through the foot.
An underfoot shield against rough ground
On uneven ground, a light, impact-resistant underfoot shield protects the sole of the foot. The protection is built with flexibility, so it works with the stride over rough ground while damping the impact rock and unevenness send back.
Vibram® MegaGrip and traction lugs
The outsole uses Vibram® MegaGrip, which grips well on both dry and wet surfaces. Vibram® traction lugs raise the traction of each step and make it easier to shed mud and debris.
Recycled material inside the shoe as well
The lining uses breathable 100% recycled mesh. The footbed cover is a mesh with 5% recycled material, and the removable footbed uses 5% recycled PU. Cleansport NXT™ adds naturally derived odour control.
