An insulated hoody built for breathable warmth on the move

The Cloud Hoody (MSRH-002) is an insulation hoody designed to hold warmth during active movement without trapping too much heat. The upper body uses highly breathable Polartec Alpha Direct 90 (100% polyester), while the lower torso and sleeves switch to a stretch grid fleece (93% polyester, 7% spandex). The upper body, which generates the most heat, is kept breathable, while the torso and arms, which see more friction, get stretch and smooth skin contact — making it easier to regulate body temperature while moving.

Material and the logic behind the switch

Alpha Direct 90 is a lightweight brushed-loop fleece that traps air while staying breathable, and dries quickly even when it picks up sweat. Placing it on the upper body keeps moisture from building up during climbs or faster pace, and it also works well as a mid-layer. The grid fleece on the lower torso and sleeves blends in 7% spandex, following movement through bending and arm swing, and matched to the areas that see the most rubbing against a pack or the ground.

Practical details in the hood, cuffs, and pocket

The hood has a generous, balaclava-style cut that covers down around the face. The edge is finished with a knit binding for comfort and fit. The cuffs include thumbholes to keep the backs of the hands warm. The pocket at the front side has a watch window so you can check the time or your route without unzipping. The front uses a double zip that opens from either top or bottom, making it easy to fine-tune ventilation or move freely around the hips.
