A short sleeve wool tee pairing 70% wool with Titan Spun for abrasion resistance
The STATIC FORGE WOOL S/S is a short sleeve that keeps the softness of 70% merino wool while raising resistance to the rubbing you meet in hiking and climbing. The fabric is 70% merino wool and 30% nylon. Size M weighs 150g.
It uses the Titan Spun yarn shared across the FORGE WOOL series. Two ultrafine nylon yarns wound around the core wool yarn at even intervals raise abrasion resistance without cutting the share of wool.
Abrasion resistance built with Titan Spun
Rubbing from the shoulder harness and back panel of a pack, contact with rock: moving in the mountains puts friction on a T-shirt as well, again and again. FORGE WOOL is a series that raises the resistance to that friction in the structure of the yarn itself.
The wool content is 70%. Ultrafine nylon yarns support the core wool yarn from the outside, so the softness merino is known for and durability sit together.
Durability proven against coarse granite and heavy packs
In climbing it was tested inside an offwidth, a crack in the rock wide enough for the body, in repeated contact with coarse-grained granite. Even there, no visible major damage appeared.
Carrying a pack over 10kg on hikes with heavy sweating, no pilling occurred and no change in shape showed either. It is a wool-led T-shirt, and the abrasion resistance for repeated use in the mountains has been proven.
A slightly slim athletic fit
A slightly slim athletic fit that follows the body. A short sleeve T-shirt using the same Titan Spun fabric as the long sleeve, weighing 150g in size M.
Production that looks at cutting waste and packaging
Recycled material is used for the woven labels and the care labels. Cutting waste from production goes to a recycler rather than incineration. At delivery, garments are wrapped in thin paper rather than individually bagged in plastic.
