NEMO Dragonfly™ Bikepack OSMO™ 2P

A short packed length and a dedicated dry bag that make a two-person tent easier to carry by bike

The NEMO Dragonfly™ Bikepack OSMO™ 2P is a freestanding two-person tent for trips where packed length and the way you strap things down decide how well the day goes, such as bikepacking and canoe touring. Minimum weight is 1.32kg. It has a 2.7㎡ floor area, vestibules of 0.8㎡ on each side and 102cm of interior height.

Its defining point is that the tent and its short pole segments pack into a dedicated waterproof roll-top stuff sack that fixes around the handlebar or head tube of a bike. In the tent itself, OSMO™ fabric, DIAPOLE™ recycled aluminum poles, Elements™ hardware and the Precurve™ system combine light weight with a wider upper interior.

A roll-top dry bag that fixes straight to the bike

The stuff sack is a waterproof roll-top with straps for mounting to a bike. It is bike-specific storage that fixes securely to the handlebar or head tube.

The poles use short segments that keep the packed length down. Rather than strapping a long pole bag along the frame, it assumes the whole tent goes into the limited carrying space of a bike. The roll-top opens from both ends, so you can reach it according to how it is loaded.

A non-reflective specification for keeping a low profile

The colorway uses tones that do not stand out in the surroundings, and no reflective material is used. It is a specification made with stealth camping in mind, avoiding reflective parts catching light at night.

34% more headroom

Elements™ is a forged aluminum hub that holds the left and right of the crossbar facing upward. Combined with a crossbar carrying the Precurve™ bend, it lifts the ceiling plane into a shape closer to level.

By NEMO's published figures, headroom volume is 34% greater than the previous structure. Even with two people sitting side by side, height is less concentrated directly under the peak, so the upper interior is usable across its width.

DIAPOLE™ recycled aluminum poles and Axial™ Lite

The frame uses DIAPOLE™ recycled aluminum poles combining a hub structure with pre-bending. It raises the upper and foot-end walls, making the 2.7㎡ floor easier to use.

Color-coded poles and webbing make connection points easy to confirm, and the four corners of the fly use Axial™ Lite corner anchors. The parts stay light while the step of attaching the fly to the poles is kept simple.

OSMO™ holds down fabric stretch from rain and humidity

The fly and floor use OSMO™ poly-nylon ripstop made from 100% recycled material. It uses no PFAS, adds no flame retardants and uses bluesign® approved fabric.

Stretch when wet is stated as one third that of the previous material, holding down fly sag on rainy or humid nights. The clearance between fly and inner narrows less, so the pitched silhouette is easier to keep.

Water repellency lasts four times longer than before, with five times the durability performance. Because it takes on less water and dries readily, it works to shorten the time spent handling wet fabric at pack-up and to reduce the weight gained from absorbed water. Hydrolysis resistance is also taken into account, slowing material degradation including during storage.

Two people can each take a door and vestibule

The 2P has a high door on each side with a 0.8㎡ vestibule per side. Two people can come and go from their own side and keep shoes and packs separately. Gatekeeper™ tiebacks gather the open door, holding the fabric while you reach gear in the vestibule.

Landing Zone™ keeps gear off wet ground

A Landing Zone™ waterproof storage tub can be set in the vestibule. Even when the ground is wet, gear you would rather not put straight into mud or water can be gathered on the tub. It can be fitted in either of the two vestibules.

Using the daisy chain inside and outside

The daisy chain can be set on the inside or the outside, letting you hang wet clothing to dry or keep light gear within reach. It is also useful for reducing what sits on the floor and keeping sleeping space for two.

Nightlight Pocket™ and multiple storage options

Putting a headlamp into the Nightlight Pocket™ at the ceiling diffuses the light for use as interior lighting. An integrated gear loft and a large pocket let two people organize phones, glasses and other small items together.

The strut vent above the zipper flap keeps a ventilation opening even in rain. It secures an exit for moisture with the fly closed, and works with the mesh inner to create the airflow that holds down condensation.

Included items for carrying and repair

Included are the bike-specific waterproof roll-top stuff sack, stakes, a pole repair splint and guyline cord. Beyond the tent itself, the storage for loading it onto a bike and the basics for field repair come as one set.
