Long-distance running and high-intensity efforts under a blazing sun. The CHORD WOOL S/S Shirt is a running shirt STATIC poured everything into, drawing without reservation on the innovative technology of NIKKE AXIO to support one thing above all in punishing conditions: to keep moving.
NIKKE AXIO: the best of both wool and synthetics
At the heart of this shirt is a hybrid yarn in which polyester filament is wrapped in a bundle of wool fibers.
Strength and practicality: it achieves the durability that pure wool struggles to deliver, standing up to hard use and repeated washing.
Wool's function, kept intact: wool is what meets your skin—warding off sweat-chill, providing odor resistance, and keeping a dry, comfortable feel at all times.
"Body mapping" that designs around body heat
Two fabrics—plain knit (jersey) and mesh—are woven from the same yarn and placed exactly where each works best.
Front panel (plain knit): a smooth hand that resists skin trouble on long runs. It's not see-through, so you can wear it with confidence on its own.
Back and sides (mesh): outstanding breathability. Heat doesn't build up even under a pack, and you feel a cooling effect every time the wind passes through.
An "athletic fit" for losing yourself in the run
It isn't just light. We pursued a functional beauty made for running long.
A minimalist silhouette: an "athletic fit" that's neither too tight nor too loose. Trimming the waist minimizes interference when you're wearing a running pack or climbing harness.
No riding up: carefully calculated cutting keeps the hem from lifting even on long runs, holding the best position throughout.
Flatlock seams: flat-lying seams cut friction stress against the skin to the bare minimum.
