Basic Cap

Made of water-repellent, windproof, and permeable material, this cap is comfortable while protecting from rain and wind.

The design of the main body is a basic 6-piece joint. In contrast to cycling caps, which have a shallow body and short eaves, the main body is loose and deep, and the eaves are not affected by the wind too much, and we aimed for just the right length to provide shade from the sun. Above all, I created this cap because I wanted a cap that was slightly larger around my head and that I could wear comfortably. Therefore, the head size (head circumference) is slightly looser than a general cap.

If the size of the product is larger than the size of the customer's head or if it is easily affected by the wind, the size can be adjusted by pulling the plastic tab on the back and tightening the rubber.

Materials

What is the material of the body part? Toray's special nylon "STUNNER(R)" is used. The material is water repellent, windproof, and permeable, and has excellent durability water repellent properties that prevent the discomfort caused by perspiration while preventing rain and wind. Although it is a synthetic fiber, it has a natural look like a cotton blend, and the coating on the back gives it a moderately firm texture.

The sweatband uses INVISTA's Coolmax® fabric. Made of 100% pique-shaped polyester material, it has the function of water absorption, quick drying and UV protection (UPF 40+).

Staff wearing review

I usually wear a hat all the time, and it's the number one wearing rate in the mountains and in the city. It is deep, has a large head size, and is very comfortable to wear because it is tightened with rubber.

Many of the trail running caps and mountain caps are made with a shallow depth, and when you walk or run, they will gradually slide upward (because of the size of your head and long hair?), but RIDGE's Basic Cap is easy to wear. Stays in place.

And my favorite point is

It's anti-sweat. It dries quickly and is comfortable even in midsummer. When a cap is used for a long time, sweat stains on the entire surface and eventually discolors only there, but this cap does not have such concerns.

As expected, it's too hot for trail running, so I don't wear it, but I actively use it for hiking and in the city. I want all colors
