This running vest was developed in collaboration with Goldwin athlete and world-class trail runner Dylan Bowman. Lightweight and functional, it was designed to match the characteristics of the clothing and bag. It was developed with a focus on stretch, lightness, and storage capacity.

The back, which serves as the main air chamber, is made of the same woven fabric as C3fit support tights. The material is both stretchy and snug, allowing for minimal movement when carrying luggage and running. Mesh material is used on the back for added comfort when sweating.

The center of gravity is designed to be slightly higher than that of a typical trail running pack, making it less noticeable. The chest belt has a buckle that makes it easy to open and close.

Another feature is that it is designed to make it easy to access stored items while on the move. The main compartment has a half pocket that is useful for storing items such as waterproof outerwear. Since you can access items while wearing the pack, it reduces the hassle of putting on and taking off the pack. In addition, there is a security pocket inside the main compartment, pockets on both sides for storing small items, and a pocket on the front for storing gels, etc.
In consideration of the burden on the environment, we use recycled yarn as part of the material.

Staff review

I actually used Goldwin's Star Trail Pack on the Shinetsu Five Mountains in 2025. My first impression was that it was extremely simple. There was only one zipper at the top of the back, and the rest was just pockets, making it a very simple design. However, this was very practical when riding long distances. Just removing the need to open a zipper made movement simpler.

The back pockets are also in a position where you can reach them without taking off the backpack, so you can access them without stopping even during a race. The front and side pockets have enough capacity to hold all the snacks you need between aid stations, and the tension in the pockets is just right, so even without zippers, nothing falls out while you're running. There's minimal shaking, and it feels like you're carrying the pack on your back, which stabilizes the load, so there's less stress even over long distances.

It doesn't have many functions, but it has everything you need, and the lack of unnecessary controls simplifies movement and thinking. The appearance and structure are minimal. But it has the performance to be used properly for long distances. It's not flashy, but I think it's a trail running backpack that you can trust in actual combat.
