The addictive functionality of merino wool
Merino wool is an essential material for outdoor wear. While regular wool fibers are about 30 microns thick, merino wool is very thin, about 17 to 23 microns. This fineness of the fiber makes it smooth to the touch and less itchy. Merino wool is also highly hygroscopic, and has a developed function of releasing excess moisture into the atmosphere, keeping the skin dry.
