A next-generation flagship model created for the Japanese mountaineering scene

The Tani Osmo™ is a flagship tent designed by the NEMO team specifically for Japan's demanding mountainous terrain. Featuring the latest Osmo™ fabric and unique Element™ hardware, it delivers superior field performance.

This tent combines all the strength, ease of setup, spaciousness, and excellent ventilation required for mountain use, while also incorporating a design that makes you want to use it and consideration for sustainability, resulting in a truly captivating finish.

Of particular note is the proprietary Axial™ corner anchor system, which not only allows for quick and easy pitching, even with gloves on, but also provides enhanced durability, making it safe for beginners and experienced climbers alike.

The Tani Osmo™ is also recognized as an eco-friendly tent, featuring recycled fabric and a PFAS-free water-repellent finish, minimizing environmental impact without compromising on strength, water resistance, or other performance features.

The Tani Osmo™, which combines design, functionality, and sustainability at a high level, is a model that embodies the NEMO philosophy. It will be the perfect choice for many adventurers who love mountaineering and hiking.

The 2025 model Tani™ Osmo has updated Osmo fabric (fly sheet) for improved fabric strength.

Key Features

Osmo™ fabric combines performance and sustainability

NEMO's proprietary tent fabric is an innovative material that combines excellent performance with sustainability. This 100% recycled material has the following advantages over standard tent fabrics:

  • 20% stronger and more durable in harsh environments.
  • The fabric does not absorb water easily and dries quickly, so there is no need to carry a tent that has become wet and heavy due to rain or condensation.
  • The fabric's elasticity when wet is reduced to one-third, so the tent is less likely to sag after being set up even in rainy or humid environments, and maintains sufficient strength until the next morning.
  • The initial water-repellent value is high, and the effect lasts four times longer than conventional products, so waterproof performance is maintained even after long-term use.
  • It has extremely high hydrolysis resistance, which reduces fabric deterioration and improves durability.
  • Made from 100% recycled materials, it offers high performance while minimizing environmental impact.

Osmo™ fabric (floor) combines performance and sustainability

The floor material is a stronger version of Osmo™ than that used in the flysheet.

Axial™ Corner Anchors: Strength and Convenience

NEMO's original hardware is an innovative system that provides superior strength while significantly simplifying the process of pitching and tearing down the tent.

  • The adjustable peg-down loop length allows you to adjust the peg position without moving the tent itself. Also, after hammering in the pegs, you can freely adjust the tension of the inner tent by simply pulling the webbing, ensuring a perfect pitch.
  • The ball joint one-touch fixing system allows you to easily fix the pole to the tent by simply pushing in the pole tip, making it quick and easy to set up. Even if you are not used to setting up a tent or are tired, it can be used without stress.
  • The durable aluminum design is lightweight yet extremely strong, providing reliability even in harsh environments. It is also lightweight and easy to carry.
  • The metal part on the fly sheet can be easily locked by inserting it into the slit and twisting it 90 degrees. This significantly reduces the effort required for setup and is easy to operate even when wearing gloves, making it comfortable to use in cold climates or situations where gloves are essential.
  • When you lock the metal parts of the fly sheet and apply tension, the corners of the inner tent are pulled outward using the principle of leverage. By applying the correct tension to the poles, fly sheet, and inner tent, the rigidity of the entire tent is increased.

Custom-made aluminum hubs

The pole junctions, where loads are concentrated, are fitted with durable aluminium hubs, which are highly durable and provide reliable strength even in harsh environments.

Furthermore, the poles are all integrated, so you can easily set it up by simply removing it from the case and extending the folded poles. This hub rotates freely 360 degrees, and the poles have no up or down, so there is no need to worry about getting the orientation wrong when setting it up, and it is a nice point that can be set up intuitively.

Spacious living space

It boasts a spacious floor size that allows you to line up regular-sized (183 x 51 cm) mats for the number of people in the tent and still have room to place your gear. This ensures a comfortable sleeping space while allowing you to store your organized gear within easy reach, significantly improving the comfort of your tent.

A volumizing guyout that greatly expands living space

The short sides of the inner tent come with cords and hooks that can be used to connect it to the flysheet. In this state, by pulling the flysheet outward using guy lines (sold separately) and pegging it down, the inner tent will expand in tandem, significantly increasing the living space inside the tent.

This feature makes the actual space much larger than other tents with the same overall length in the catalog specifications. The design allows for a large space with just a little ingenuity, in pursuit of comfort in the field.

Spacious vestibule space

The spacious vestibule, boasting a depth of 75cm , can comfortably store gear such as backpacks and shoes. This space allows you to keep the living area inside the tent comfortable while also protecting your important gear.

Large front door with a sense of openness and excellent ventilation

The large front door, located on the long side, is one of the largest among mountain tents. When the door is fully opened, two people can sit side by side and enjoy the view outside, while also experiencing a spacious and open feeling inside the tent.

In addition, the lower half of the door is a mesh panel, allowing for comfortable air circulation in hot weather and helping to reduce condensation. In cold weather, closing the door completely keeps out cold air, making it a design that can be used comfortably all year round.

Large rear vents for optimal air circulation

The large rear vent, located opposite the front door, is one of the largest among all mountain tents, just like the front door. This ventilation system takes advantage of the tendency for warm air to move from bottom to top, drawing in fresh air from the bottom of the front door and effectively expelling hot air and humidity from the rear vent.

In addition, the tent is equipped with foldable struts to maintain tension on the flysheet even when ventilating, ensuring a sturdy structure. This ensures the tent's strength and comfortable airflow at all times, reducing humidity inside the tent and providing a comfortable living space.

Rear vents can be opened and closed from inside the tent

The flysheet ventilation can be opened and closed from inside the inner tent, so there's no need to go outside even when it's raining.

Vent struts in the vestibule allow for excellent ventilation even in the rain

The ventilation struts located above the vestibule zipper allow heat and moisture to escape effectively, even when it's raining, without making the inside of the tent wet.

Ventilation at the bottom of the front room

The Tani Osmo™ allows you to create additional ventilation by folding back the bottom of the vestibule and fastening it in place. This feature allows for smoother airflow to the inner tent and rear vent, dramatically improving the overall ventilation performance of the tent.

One-handed Gatekeeper™ door tieback

Designed to easily secure a rolled-up vestibule, NEMO's original Gatekeeper™ Door Tieback hardware allows for quick, one-handed fastening and unfastening, unlike typical toggle and loop solutions. This simple, intuitive design significantly improves convenience in the field.

The design hallmark of NEMO products is to combine ease of use and functionality to make outdoor adventures more comfortable.

Divy Cube Stuff Sack with variable storage options

The roll-top, rectangular design fits efficiently into a backpack, and the poles can be packed together or separated for compact transport, perfect for sharing loads with a partner.
