These hiking pants update BAMBOO SHOOTS' TYPE-3 climbing pants with a nylon fabric prized for its quick-drying and moisture-permeable properties. The fabric dries fast even after heavy sweating and resists trapping heat, making it easy to stay comfortable during sweat-heavy mountain hikes. The roomy, relaxed silhouette doesn't restrict high leg lifts, keeping stress low while you're on the move.
Core performance that supports movement
The nylon fabric is light and easy to handle, and it dries quickly as you sweat during activity. Its moisture permeability lets built-up humidity escape from inside the garment, making these bottoms easy to wear when you want to keep moving at pace without slowing down. The generous cut gives plenty of room for bending and stretching the knees, helping preserve range of motion on rocky terrain or stepped climbs.
Details designed with hiking in mind
- The waist adjusts quickly with a drawcord, making it easy to fine-tune fit when putting the pants on, taking them off, or adjusting on the move.
- The back pocket is a new-style pocket sized to hold a smartphone, for smooth in-and-out access during breaks.
- A D-ring sits above the right back pocket, useful for temporarily clipping on a carabiner or key reel.

Designer Kazuhiko Kai focused on making the most of TYPE-3's relaxed silhouette at a time when most hiking bottoms lean toward a slim fit. The length was tuned with compatibility in mind for mid-cut sneakers and boots as well as trail running shoes and sandals.
