An ultralight wind vest built for staying active in cold conditions
The STATIC ORBIT WINTER VEST is an active-line vest for mountain running, continuous-motion hiking, and fastpacking in cold conditions. The 100% recycled nylon shell, also used in the Apostle series, moves smoothly against the skin and limits airflow through the fabric, so it protects your core without slowing you down even when facing the wind. Octa(R)CPCP(R) is mapped only where it's needed, balancing warmth and light weight at a high level.
Octa(R)CPCP(R) mapped only across the chest and shoulders
Octa(R)CPCP(R) lining is limited to the chest through the upper shoulders, the areas most prone to chill. By placing insulation only where it faces running wind or headwind, it keeps weight down and avoids overheating while still cutting the chill up front efficiently. The back is shell-only, so the higher-heat back side resists overheating, making it easier to regulate body temperature while moving. At about 95g in a size M, it's light enough to carry easily as a layer stashed in a pocket.
A minimal design that stays out of the way of layering and movement
A round neck makes it easy to layer with inner layers and shells. A short, silent zipper is easy to work on the move and keeps fabric noise down without adding weight. The hem and arm openings are finished with binding rather than drawcords, cutting parts to reduce weight while keeping a minimal fit with less flapping or catching. The athletic fit follows the body, resists fluttering in the wind, and layers easily under a shell.
Environmental approach
It uses a C0 water-repellent finish that doesn't use fluorocarbons, and the shell is made from recycled nylon. The Octa(R)CPCP(R) also contains 53% recycled polyester, cutting CO2 emissions in fabric production by 23% compared to equivalent virgin polyester. The brand tag, size tag, and care label are 100% recycled polyester made from PET bottles. Sub-materials also use recycled materials, and it ships wrapped in tissue paper rather than a plastic bag.

From the FW26 season production run, the chest logo print design has changed. The logo design varies by color.

Do not use fabric softener or bleach. Hand wash, or use a delicates/hand-wash cycle in a laundry bag. Do not tumble dry or dry clean.
