This is a collaboration chair that incorporates many of our requests into the "chair1987" product, which is based on an antique chair known as the "Safari Chair" and is produced by Kyoto-based company "WildingOut" with their own unique arrangements and ingenuity.
Originally designed to be used by explorers in the field, the chair can be disassembled and made compact, and what makes it particularly noteworthy is its unparalleled comfort for a chair of its type, its portability, its light weight, and its ease of repair.
The arrangement points we requested this time were:
1. Extend the leg length by 6 cm and raise the seat height by 6 cm.
2. The wood was changed from chestnut to cherry.
3. The seat has been changed from cotton canvas to Cordura nylon.
4. Multiple "ladder-shaped stitches" have been added to the end of the braided tape on the underside of the seat, allowing the tension of the seat to be freely adjusted by changing the position of the dowel insertion.
5. In order to reduce costs (to change the price to a more affordable level), we produce the product in our own facility.
We have realized requests such as:
In particular, with arrangements 1 and 3, you will immediately feel how easy it is to sit and stand, and how you can adjust the tension of the seat to your liking. To be honest, it's not that easy, as even experienced people will need about five minutes to disassemble and assemble, but we think that it makes up for that by creating a product that offers a comfortable seating experience and a sense of ownership.
