The All Side Paddle Strop is a Bushcraft JP original strop for knives.
The width of the leather is moderately wide, and the long side has a sufficient stroke. 4 sides support various compound types.
A strop for sharpening knives with leather.
The method of sharpening is similar to that of a normal whetstone, but whetstones are different in that they are sharpened by strokes in only one direction.
Also, when sharpening knives, no water is used, and a special compound (grinding powder) is used.
It is suitable for knives with convex edges, but of course it is not limited to convex edge knives, and can sharpen all blades including kitchen knives.
*It is not suitable for special shaped blades such as serrated edges (wavy blades), curved edges (curved blades), and saw blades.
Leather is placed on 4 sides (all sides) of the paddle strap.
Since it is exclusively for knives, it is all on the floor (rough surface).
The size is large enough to sharpen properly with one stroke.
Since there are 4 abrasive surfaces, it is possible to use 4 types of compounds with different grain sizes with this single strop.
If you are using a 3-color compound, you can sharpen with this 4-sided all-side paddle strop at less than half the cost of conventional products.
(*Bushcraft original compound is recommended.)
In addition, one side is left as a spare and can be used for polishing without compound (traditionally done with a razor).

- Adjacent leather edges do not interfere with stropping due to a manufacturing method that does not adhere the leather edge (cut surface).
