Based on the AGILITY PEAK 5 trail running shoe, which features a high-performance thick sole unit that maximizes performance during long-distance, extended activities on any terrain, this model is equipped with a GORE-TEX® membrane that boasts excellent breathability and waterproof performance, and the BOA® Fit System, which uses a dial-type wire to allow for easy on/off and fit adjustment .
The upper features a lightweight, breathable, high-performance engineered mesh reinforced with TPU for a neutral fit and stability. The midsole utilizes FLOATPRO™, a sustainable midsole that combines lightweight durability with excellent rebound and cushioning. Additionally, the forefoot is equipped with an ESS foam "rock plate" to counteract ground impacts, contributing to a stable sole and a rocker structure that promotes a smoother step. The outsole features a Vibram MEGAGRIP x Vibram TRACTION LUG outsole (5mm lug depth) for superior grip on wet surfaces and rugged trails.
This model has been garnering numerous test impressions, with many praising its "high stability when landing " and improving the risk of "wobbling" when the heel strikes the ground due to the soft cushioning that is typical of thick-soled shoes. It's lightweight yet provides long-lasting rebound resilience, sustaining performance. To reduce environmental impact, it's manufactured using a "zero-waste" process and is made from easily recyclable TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) material.
