A hand-forged mini spoon inspired by the piton (haken)
A spoon hand-forged in the image of the haken (piton) used in rock climbing.
When you eat ice cream, the heat of your hand travels into the spoon for a nicely mellow melt.
It was developed from the idea of climbers of old using their rock-climbing pitons in place of a spoon to eat.
The solid feel of the metal clips comfortably onto a carabiner, and slipping a finger through the hole lets you carry proper cutlery with ease. Add it to a keyring, or thread a cord and wear it around your neck. For camping, for climbing, for everyday use.
A skilled craftsman strikes out each one by hand, so every spoon is one of a kind.
