Long pegs with endless combinations, born from TAKIBISM's free thinking

Handmade fire tools born from the dedication of those who love the campfire

TAKIBISM is a brand that began when Hajime Samukawa—an outdoor life advisor whose life's work is the campfire—teamed up with Noboru Makizuka of Makizuka Ironworks, an iron artisan, to give shape to the fire tools Samukawa was after.
Each tool is crafted one by one with care, packed with the ideas and clever touches that only true campfire lovers could dream up, resulting in playful, characterful pieces.
Alongside Makizuka Ironworks in Takamatsu City, TAKIBISM's products are made by highly skilled partner workshops around the Setouchi (Seto Inland Sea) region. When a devotion to the campfire meets Japanese craftsmanship, the finest fire tools are born.

TAKIBISM's versatile peg, to enjoy however the scene calls for

Your setup style shifts with the field and the conditions of the moment, and you need to adapt on the fly. The Multi-Long Peg is a versatile tool you can reshape to suit any scene or preference. Use one on its own, or combine several—the possibilities are endless. You may find yourself heading out to the field more often just to try a new configuration. Discover your own way to enjoy it.

Use a peg on its own

Use the head of the peg to hang all sorts of things. Even a single peg is long enough to sit firmly in the ground when driven in. Try hanging a lantern in front of the tent, or fire tongs and gloves near the fire stand or your chair. Hanging items rather than leaving them on the ground makes them easier to grab, tidying your flow so you move around more easily.
*The Multi-Long Peg is about 90.0cm long—a striking size even next to TAKIBISM's iron sierra mug "HANZAN" (about 17.3cm in diameter including the handle).

Use pegs in combination

Bundle three pegs with a carabiner and you can build a tripod in no time. Hang the "Breath to Fire" fire blower from it and you can even suspend a kettle.
You can also combine five pegs into a tripod and tool hanger. It keeps the gear around your fire neatly organized for a richer-feeling space—this setup is our recommendation for creating the full TAKIBISM world.

Use several together

Drive four pegs in alternately and you've got a firewood stand. It keeps your firewood off ground that's damp from rain or morning dew. If there's anything else you'd rather keep dry, you may be able to adapt the same trick.
You can also pair them with a commercially available tarp panel to form a windbreak like a jinmaku (camp curtain). Because they drive firmly into the ground, there's no need for guy lines.
Depending on the situation, combine pegs and a tarp to build a shelter, or use them to prop up part of a tarp—adapt them freely.

Find a use all your own

The bottom line: there's no limit to how you can use the Multi-Long Pegs. A single peg might stand in for something else, or lead to an unexpected discovery.
Why not try them in all sorts of ways?
