Night Hike December 2023 event record

We held a night hiking event in cooperation with headlamp manufacturer "milestone"! It was a sunny day all day, with low temperatures and clear air, making the Osaka plains from Mt. Ikoma shine at their best.

Night hike overview

A hiking event that starts at the ROCK STEPPERS store and climbs Mt. Ikoma from the evening. This is an event where you can enjoy the extraordinary feeling of walking on a pitch-black road and the night view while practicing nighttime activities using a headlamp. The route will take you to a spot with a beautiful night view called "Bokura no Hiroba" located on Mt. Ikoma, the mountain in front of ROCK STEPPERS.

Practice night hiking

The participants mainly tried out Milestone's MS-G3 and MS-G4 headlamps, which are perfect for hiking, as well as the MS-i1, an endurance model for trail running. Many of the participants were walking in the mountains at night for the first time, and they enjoyed night hiking while talking about the basics of how to use headlamps and practical ways to adjust the brightness of headlamps when walking at night.

I also tried the new handy light "Route Finder". With its overwhelming amount of light and the ability to cast light long distances with spot irradiation, I felt that the handy light had great potential, making it easy to see the route and illuminating trails with poor footing in a pinpoint manner.
