As a result of discussing with NERU DESIGN WORKS, which we are collaborating with, we decided to design and cast an original hatchet blade just like REID AXE.
Compared to previous blades, it is slightly larger in the front-to-rear direction, and above all, the thickness of the insertion part has been doubled to make it thicker and stronger.
The grind of the blade has also changed from the conventional straight to a compound grind that "even though it is a hollow grind, only the cutting edge is thickened and finished with a slight convexity."
We have changed the materials from last year's two types of "oak" and "skateboard recycled material" to two types of "USA hickory" and "USA black walnut" this season.

I made an ax that incorporates the elements of my favorite "knife" and "motorcycle and car parts (racing parts)".
The characteristic protrusions are called "finger grooves" in knife terminology, and can be held in various positions as finger grips when holding. Multiple lightening holes are a method called "drilled" used in vehicles such as cars and motorcycles (especially racers), originally intended to reduce weight, but it was mainly adopted as a design element rather than as a function. rice field.
However, it does not contribute to the function at all because it is less slippery than a flat surface and can be caught by fingers.
Since it will be used for kindling the fire, we recommend that you use it by knocking on the wood-chopping stand with the blade on the head of the firewood from the beginning, rather than swinging it over. There are two types of pattern materials: "USA hickory" and "USA walnut". The "blade guard (cover)" is manufactured by our company with Cordura nylon as the outer material and tarpaulin as the lining.
