PlaX™
"PlaX™" is a new material that contributes to carbon neutrality by updating its quality and functionality through the addition of Bioworks' molecular construction technology and proprietary plant-derived additives to polylactic acid (PLA), a bioplastic made from plants such as sugar cane.
PlaX™ uniquely solves the problems that have prevented widespread use of the material, such as durability, heat resistance, and dyeability when processed into fibers. In order to solve environmental problems and realize a sustainable recycling-oriented society, it is attracting attention worldwide as a new material that not only replaces existing synthetic fibers and plastic products, but is also actively developed into new applications.
This product is manufactured by Shima Seiki WHOLEGARMENT.
"WHOLEGARMENT" is a type of knitting manufacturing technology that knits a single piece of fabric into a three-dimensional shape without any seams. Conventional products are made by sewing together multiple parts, but with WHOLEGARMENT, a special knitting machine is used to knit the entire product at once. This technology has several features and advantages.
No seams: No seams means less irritation to the skin and a very comfortable fit.
Three-dimensional knitting: The knitting is three-dimensional, allowing for a design that fits the body well and allows for ease of movement.
Efficient production: The manufacturing process is simple and efficient as there is no need to sew parts together, resulting in shorter production times and less wasted material.
This product does not have a brand name.
This is RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR's first product without a brand name.
This product is made using the whole garment method, so there are no seams whatsoever.
I think you will understand its simple beauty when you hold it in your hands.
At the sample stage, we went through a lot of trial and error trying to decide where to put the brand name.
However, none of them really felt right to me.
So we decided to just release it without a brand name.

Attention
・When washing, use detergent for wool.
・Turn the product inside out, place it in a laundry net and wash it alone.
- Water temperature should be limited to 40°C. Avoid washing with hot water.
- Avoid strong water flows when washing, and wash by hand or, if using a washing machine, use the "dry cycle" or "gentle water cycle".
- Never tumble dry.
・After dehydration, we recommend shaping the product and drying it in the shade.
-If you will not be wearing the item for a long period of time, make sure to remove any dirt and store it with an insect repellent.
