Ultra-light synthetic mesh T-shirt with emphasis on breathability
A new synthetic fiber T-shirt series.
The mesh structure increases breathability, making it a quick-drying item that won't get stuffy even during intense activities.
Stretchability is achieved by crimping the yarn without adding polyurethane, and since it does not contain polyurethane, water retention is reduced and quick drying is increased.
In addition, since it is 100% polyester, it can be recycled into yarn again using the "ByeHello" recycling program for cut scraps and worn clothing.
"ByeHello" project
STATIC runs a recycling program called "ByeHello" in which we collect the cutting waste of polyester products and used products, spin recycled polyester yarn, and deliver new products.
Products that have "Regenerate me!" written on their care labels are eligible for this program.
Minimize waste and incinerate it to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and recycle raw materials. This is STATIC's idea of a sustainable system for outdoor products.
The importance of using recycled materials
Over the life of a garment, from raw material procurement to disposal after wear, the process that produces the most CO2 emissions is the raw material procurement process. Approximately 50% of the total. In other words, reducing CO2 emissions during raw material procurement will greatly reduce the environmental impact of clothing over its lifetime. In the case of pre-consumer recycled nylon (*), there are examples of CO2 emissions being reduced by as much as 75%, so we believe it is important to use recycled materials as much as possible and choose and wear clothing made with recycled materials.
*Pre-consumer recycled nylon:
Nylon cotton waste produced during the manufacture of nylon thread, which was traditionally incinerated, is recycled and regenerated into nylon thread and fabric.
