Ultra-lightweight synthetic mesh T-shirt with emphasis on breathability
A new synthetic fiber T-shirt series.
The mesh structure increases breathability, prevents sweating even during strenuous activities, and is a quick-drying item perfect for the hot summer.
The stretchability comes from shrinking the yarn without adding polyurethane, and because it does not contain polyurethane, it has reduced water retention and quick-drying properties.
In addition, because it is made of 100% polyester, cutting scraps and worn clothing can be recycled into thread using the recycling program "ByeHello."
"ByeHello" Project
STATIC runs a recycling program called "ByeHello" where we collect polyester product scraps and used products, spin them into recycled polyester yarn, and deliver new products.
Products that are eligible for this program have the words "Regenerate me!" on the care label.
We minimize waste generation, incinerate it, reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and recycle raw materials. This is STATIC's vision for a sustainable system for outdoor products.
The importance of using recycled materials
In the "life cycle of clothing," from sourcing the raw materials to discarding the garment after wearing, the process that produces the most CO2 emissions is the raw materials sourcing process, which accounts for approximately 50% of the total. In other words, reducing the CO2 emissions during raw materials sourcing will greatly reduce the environmental impact of the "life cycle of clothing." In the case of pre-consumer recycled nylon*, there are examples where CO2 emissions have been reduced by as much as 75%, so we believe that using recycled materials as much as possible and choosing and wearing such clothing is an important action.
*Pre-consumer recycled nylon:
This is a product made by recycling nylon cotton waste generated during the manufacture of nylon yarn, which was previously incinerated, into nylon yarn and fabric.
