I don't want to have to carry a big backpack, but I still feel a little uneasy about going empty-handed.
"One Mile," a daypack that was previously on sale, is perfect for such occasions and is easy to carry.

Let's say you leave your house and travel one mile. You pass through your favorite park, step off the pavement onto a path, walk along a sunlit mountain trail, cross a small stream, and go over a gently sloping hill before your destination cafe or bookstore comes into view.

So you can enjoy small adventures that are an extension of your daily life more freely. It's perfect for a quick shopping trip or a detour on the way home from work, or for a weekend break on a local trail, a picnic by the river, or a stroll to a lookout point. Of course, it's also great for hiking.

The One Mile Trim inherits that concept but updates it into an even simpler design.
While maintaining the basic capacity and design, we aimed for a simpler finish by reconsidering the materials and details used.

The main fabric has been changed to UltraWeave™ Ultra100X material, which is both durable and lightweight. The pocket design has been redesigned to create a more streamlined overall balance. You can carry everything you need compactly, while still feeling comfortable and ready to use.

As a result of this pursuit, the design has evolved into a minimalist silhouette. The word "Trim" includes the meanings of "cutting off," "arranging," and "refining."

This update goes beyond changing materials and adjusting details to reevaluate the essence of "One Mile" and remove unnecessary elements in pursuit of a higher level of perfection.

In pursuit of simplicity, we have reborn this backpack as a new challenge. It is lighter and smarter, without even the slightest sense of incongruity. We aimed to create a backpack that can become a part of your daily life when you carry it around.

[Body Zipper]

We use YKK's AquaGuard® NATULON® coil zipper. AquaGuard is a zipper with a polyurethane film laminated on the surface of the tape, which is treated to make it waterproof. This zipper has been specially treated to be highly water-repellent, so it protects the inside even in light rain or splashes of water.

[Pocket]
The front pocket on the surface of the pack is made of UltraStretch™.
The fabric is based on UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) fibers. This innovative fabric is highly stretchable, durable and flexible in multiple directions. It is designed to withstand high levels of movement and repeated strain, while also being waterproof, quick drying and lightweight.
In addition, its unique fiber structure makes it resistant to tearing and abrasion, and provides reliable performance even in harsh environments. It is also made using an environmentally friendly manufacturing process, making it both ecological and functional. It is a material that combines the properties of flexibility, durability, and waterproofness at a high level.

The inside of the backpack has two pockets for ease of use.
It is designed to store the items you need neatly and makes it easy to organize.

There is a small pocket at the top of the front which is convenient for storing small items.
It's perfect for storing items you want to have quick access to, like your keys, earphones, or wallet.
Additionally, it comes with a key hook tape to keep your keys securely in place so you don't have to worry about them getting lost in your backpack.

There is a pocket on the back for storing a laptop or hydration system.
It is large enough to store 13-inch and 14-inch MacBooks and is designed to allow you to easily take your computer in and out.

The material used is 210D ROBIC® ripstop nylon.
It is made of a material that is highly durable, lightweight, and resistant to wear and tear.

The back is padded with 7mm thick EVA foam to improve comfort.
This back pad is easily removable.

For example, when you are taking a break at a tent site and don't want to sit directly on cold rocks or the ground.
By quickly taking out this pad and using it as a simple cushion, you can enjoy a more comfortable break without worrying about the cold or humidity.

Fitting

[How to wear One Mile Trim correctly – for a comfortable fit and balance]

We will explain the proper positioning of your back to ensure you use One Mile Trim more comfortably and effectively.
This isn't unique to the One Mile Trim, but when carrying a backpack it's important to keep your center of gravity as high as possible.

As shown in the image above, adjust the straps on the shoulder harness so that the top of the backpack is roughly level with your shoulders or slightly lower. Your back will be tightly fitted to the back of the backpack.

As shown in the image above, we do not recommend wearing a backpack with the top of it sitting significantly below your shoulder line. Not only will it make your luggage feel heavier, but if the luggage in your backpack is heavy, it will cause your upper body to feel pulled backwards, which can lead to loss of balance. Also, if there is a gap between your back and the back of the backpack, it can cause the backpack to swing.

Make sure the chest strap is fastened properly and securely.

The chest strap distributes the weight evenly across your chest and prevents the backpack from slipping off your body in the event of a fall.

The chest strap buckle also functions as an emergency whistle to signal for help in an emergency.

The side pocket in the image above can hold 700ml of Glaceau Smart water.

[Ring Puller]

The ring-shaped puller is made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). This puller is soft and durable, and can withstand repeated use. It is easy to hook your fingers and can be easily operated even when wearing gloves.

There is a hand carry tape on the top of the main unit.

The shoulder straps, which can be said to be the "key" of the pack, are made with the utmost care in their material selection and construction. The outer fabric is made of 420D ROBIC® ripstop nylon. 420D ROBIC® is a basic square grid ripstop pattern combined with ultra-strong and durable ROBIC® nylon 6. This material has superior tear strength and abrasion resistance to regular nylon, making it safe to use in harsh outdoor environments.

The surface of the fabric is treated with DWR (durable water repellent), which provides excellent rain and splash repellency. The back side is treated with UTS (Ultra Tear Strength) coating, which is different from conventional PU coating. This special coating not only significantly improves tear strength, but also has the excellent property of being resistant to hydrolysis even in humid environments. Therefore, it is a very reliable material in terms of durability.

The core material of the shoulder strap is 10mm thick EVA foam, which has excellent resilience, elasticity, recovery and weather resistance. This core material is designed to effectively distribute the weight and reduce the burden on the shoulders by giving the right amount of "stickiness" to the shoulders. Therefore, it provides firm support without compromising comfort even when used for long periods of time.

Additionally, the underside of the shoulder straps and the back of the bag are made of double russell mesh, a highly breathable material that reduces stickiness caused by sweat and keeps you comfortable even when used for long periods of time.

The "One Mile Trim" maintains a simple design while also taking practicality into consideration.
The shoulder straps have taped upper sections to reduce hose movement when using a hydration system.

This prevents the hose from moving unexpectedly or slipping off your shoulder while walking, providing a more comfortable fit.
In addition, the backpack itself does not have any slits or holes for a dedicated hose.
When using a hydration system, partially open the zipper to allow the hose to pass through.

The front pocket of the "One Mile" is equipped with a durable 3mm bungee cord.
This cord is a convenient space for easily securing small items.
It's perfect for quickly storing light clothing that you want to take out and put away quickly, such as a wind shell, towels, or a shirt you've taken off.

It can also be used to hold a helmet as shown in the image.

However, when fixing the helmet securely, avoid using only the bungee cord.
Thread your helmet strap through the top hand carry tape of the One Mile Trim to secure it in place.
This prevents the device from shifting due to unexpected impacts or movement, making it safer to carry.

A pickaxe can also be attached.

The top of the "One Mile" can be used to securely attach ice axes or trekking poles.
The system consists of a sturdy 3mm diameter rubber cord with a plastic hook adjuster.

It allows you to carry all the gear you need safely and securely when traveling on trails or in snowy mountains.
It's very easy to use.

First, place your ice axe or trekking poles along the body of the bag.
Make sure to securely hook the rubber cord onto the hook-shaped part of the plastic part.
You can then apply tension by pulling the end of the rubber cord to secure the equipment firmly in place.
This design reduces shaking while moving and allows you to wear the bag comfortably for long periods of time.

In addition, by adjusting the rubber cord appropriately, it can accommodate poles and ice axes of various sizes.

*When attaching your ice axe, be sure to understand the correct way to secure it and ensure safety and stability.

The One Mile Trim comes with an ice axe holder tape at the bottom to securely attach your ice axe.
When attaching your ice axe, be sure to properly use the ice axe holder tape at the bottom of the backpack and secure the shaft firmly through it.
In addition, to prevent the blade from wobbling while you're moving, it's important to use the bungee cord on the front to securely attach the ice axe to your backpack.

It comes with a waist belt that can be easily removed with one touch.

This waist belt is designed to be worn in different situations and can be worn only when necessary.
For everyday use or normal hiking, you will generally not need to use a waist belt.
Backpacks are lightweight and compact in design, making them ideal for short trips or when you're carrying light loads.
It can be carried comfortably without a waist belt.

On the other hand, we recommend using a waist belt when moving around a lot, such as when trail running.

By tightening the waist belt moderately, you can prevent the backpack from swaying from side to side and ensure a stable fit.
Reducing the movement of your load can help reduce fatigue, especially when traveling at a fast pace or over rough terrain.

Material

The main body of this product is made from Challenge Sailcloth Ultra100X.

[UltraWeave™ Ultra100X]

UltraWeave™ Ultra100X is a high-performance fabric developed by Challenge Sailcloth that is lightweight, durable, and waterproof. This fabric is based on UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) fibers, which are about 10 times stronger than steel per weight ratio, and is characterized by its extremely high resistance to tearing and abrasion. In addition, it uses Challenge Sailcloth's unique CrossPly technology, which uses diagonal fiber arrangement to improve tear resistance in directions that cannot be compensated for by ordinary ripstop fabrics.

Unlike conventional laminated fabrics, this material uses a one-piece structure with minimal adhesives. This design not only reduces weight, but also significantly reduces the risk of peeling and hydrolysis. It is characterized by its high durability, which maintains its performance even after long-term use. It is also highly waterproof, providing excellent protection for the interior from rain and moisture. These characteristics combine to make it a reliable material that will perform for a long time, even in harsh environments where friction and impacts are repeated.

[UHMWPE]

UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) is an extremely durable material that is 10 times stronger than steel per weight ratio. This makes it an ideal choice for lightweight yet durable products. It also has excellent resistance to tearing and abrasion, allowing it to perform in harsh environments.

In addition, UHMWPE has excellent resistance to water and many chemicals, allowing it to be used for a long time with little risk of deterioration due to moisture or corrosion.
