【Define "just right" for yourself】

The Enough Shell Jacket is a simple wind shell with no hood or pockets.
When the wind picks up, you can quickly throw it on. Since storage is left to your backpack or satchel, the shell's only role is to deflect the wind.

Without a hood, your neck feels lighter and your field of vision expands. There's less catching when you turn around, so it's stress-free.
Without pockets, your arms can swing freely, and it's less likely to interfere with hip belts or shoulder harnesses. This makes it easier to continue activities like walking, climbing, and taking photos without interruption.

This jacket is not rain gear.
It's effective when your body temperature might drop slightly, such as between sunny and cloudy weather, when a stronger wind hits on a ridge, when it's chilly before departure, or at dusk after descending. It helps you get moving, shortens the time it takes for sweat to dry, and keeps your walking rhythm undisturbed.

We kept the necessary functions and reduced elements that could cause hesitation.
While it lacks large zippered storage, it gains less interference and ease of handling. By delegating roles to backpacks, satchels, and pant pockets, the shell can focus on "wearing it to fend off the wind." This approach ultimately makes you feel lighter.

It's easy to use. If you feel cold during a stop, put it on immediately; if you get hot while climbing, take it off immediately. If you fold it thinly and put it in an easily accessible place in your bag, you'll make quicker decisions during your activity. The ease of putting it on and taking it off makes your activity time more comfortable.

It's the one you grab "just in case." Not special, but always the first choice.
We designed it based on the concept of "just enough" – not adding anything unnecessary, nor stripping away too much.
"Enough" is a clear choice: hoodless and pocketless.

Design

The Enough Shell Jacket is a wind shell designed without a hood or pockets. Storage for small items is entrusted to bags or vests, allowing the shell to focus solely on its role of deflecting wind. By minimizing attachments, we reduced rustling sounds and flapping, creating a garment with a clean, uncluttered appearance.

A 2mm elastic cord runs through the hem and can be adjusted at both sides of the hem as shown in the image above.

Double Zipper

The front zipper features a double-zip (two-way) specification, allowing it to be opened from the bottom.

We've added vents to the armpit area (bottom of the armhole). These vents allow air to flow naturally as you move your arms during exercise, efficiently expelling heat. Furthermore, by having no zippers or buttons, we maintain a simple design while enhancing ventilation without increasing weight.

Flat-Felled Seams

All seams are finished with flat-felled seams. A flat-felled seam is a method where the seam allowance of the fabric edge is folded inwards and sewn, resulting in a finish where the fabric edge is not visible, as shown in the image above. This sewing method is characterized by a beautiful appearance because the seam allowance is not exposed, and it also increases strength.

However, flat-felled seams are very labor-intensive. The process involves an extra step of folding the fabric, requiring high skill and careful work during sewing. We chose this method to achieve a durable and long-lasting finish.

While serger finishing is efficient, it exposes the threads, posing a risk of fraying if caught on nails or other objects. By adopting flat-felled seams, we prevent such issues and improve durability.

Pertex Equilibrium

HERITAGE / BACKGROUND
Equilibrium is a testament to Pertex's approach of developing unique fabric solutions in close partnership with its customers.

In 1990, during a long drive south through France to Chamonix, Steve Laycock of Pertex and Rab Carrington, founder of the Rab brand, conceived the idea of creating a comfortable "microclimate" within clothing. They theorized about the benefits of fabrics with different yarn structures, considering whether a relatively open weave on the inside and a tighter weave on the outside could create a strong capillary action to effectively move moisture away from the body.

Upon returning to the UK, Steve Laycock commissioned weaving specialists at Perseverance Mill to develop a shell fabric with a "double weave structure" that had differing denier and density. The result of this research was the birth of Pertex's patented Equilibrium fabric.

【EQUILIBRIUM Structure】

Pertex Equilibrium employs a double weave structure. The tightly woven outer fabric provides protection from external elements, and when combined with the relatively open weave structure of the inner layer, the entire fabric effectively moves moisture away from the body. Its main characteristics are "breathability," "wind resistance," and "quick-drying."
