- The core of the tent cord is made of Dyneema, which is strong and does not stretch. Dyneema is 15 times stronger than steel for its weight, with a tensile strength of 200 kg. Additionally, this material is ultra-light and has high resistance to abrasion, moisture, UV rays, and chemicals.
It also has no static electricity and does not stretch, which prevents the tent from flapping, pegs from falling out of the ground, and poles from breaking. To prevent tripping at tent sites, it is woven with reflective threads for maximum nighttime visibility.
Although it is highly durable, it is not too hard and pliable, and has good friction when tied and ease of untying.
