Introduction
I wanted to create a vest that was "properly warm."
I am very sensitive to the cold and I really don't like it. Whether I'm in the mountains or in the city, I feel depressed when it's cold. Enduring the cold often reduces the enjoyment of the experience by half. That's why I felt the need for a vest that would keep me comfortable.
We wanted to create something that was not only warm, but also lightweight and had excellent breathability. We chose Polartec® Alpha® Direct as the material that would meet this requirement. This material is popular among many outdoor enthusiasts and professionals. We chose a slightly thicker type with a thickness of 136g/m². This thickness provides excellent insulation even in cold environments.
The moment you put this vest on over a T-shirt, you will feel your body gradually warm up. Once you experience that instant comfort, you will never want to let it go. It also has excellent breathability and moisture permeability, so it efficiently releases heat while you are active. This allows you to stay comfortable even during long periods of exercise or hiking.
However, when you are stationary or exposed to strong winds, the breathability and moisture permeability can backfire. In such cases, you can shut out the wind by putting on a shirt or shell over the vest, and stay warmer. In this way, the ability to flexibly respond to different situations is another major attraction of this vest.
The vest I am aiming for is designed to reduce stress caused by the cold and keep you as comfortable as possible in any environment.

This product uses Polartec® Alpha® Direct (136g/m²).
Developed because US Special Forces needed an insulation system that could adapt to extreme temperature fluctuations and cycles of movement and rest, Polartec Alpha® was designed to provide consistent warmth while being highly breathable even when active.
Polartec Alpha® Direct is an evolution of Polartec Alpha® insulation technology. This technology is designed to be in direct contact with skin or other fabrics, without the need for a backing. This improves the breathability and performance of the fabric, and refines the shape and size of the insulating fibers. Alpha® Direct's unique construction makes the product more breathable and reduces weight.

Slightly deep neckline
It's not exactly a crew neck, U-neck, or V-neck. I aimed for a neckline that was somewhere in between.
If you wear a thin hoodie or a stand-up collar underneath, a crew neck might be a little tight around the neck, so we chose this neckline so that you can still enjoy wearing this vest when wearing such an inner layer.
Keep your shoulders warm
I think the vests we see most often are a little narrower in width and tend to leave the shoulders clearly exposed.
The concept of the Alpha Booster Vest is "proper warmth," so it is designed with a wide shoulder width to keep your shoulders warm.
The shoulders are designed to be wide, so the armholes are slightly wider to ensure ease of movement. They can accommodate T-shirts with wider sleeves to some extent, and are also useful for releasing heat from the armpits.
Under normal circumstances, the silhouette flares slightly towards the hem.
Air can also enter and exit through the hem, ensuring ventilation.
The collar and armholes are bound with 100% polyester mechanical stretch tape, made primarily from recycled materials.
A simple patch pocket that can also be used as an inner pocket.
This product has a patch pocket that acts as a hand warmer when worn over a long tee.
Furthermore, if you wear a shirt or shell that does not have side pockets over the Alpha Booster Vest, the pockets will serve as inner pockets. The pocket opening faces upwards, so contents are less likely to fall out.
Layer with Basic Long Sleeve Shirt
What we especially recommend about the Alpha Booster Vest is layering it with the Basic Long Sleeve Shirt.
When stationary or exposed to strong winds, the breathability and moisture permeability can backfire. In such cases, you can shut down the wind by putting on a shirt or shell over the jacket.
Layering the ``Alpha Booster Vest'' and ``Basic Long Sleeve Shirt'' feels like wearing a padded jacket.
The Alpha Booster Vest is "really warm"
If you start to get hot while walking, take off your vest to regulate your body temperature.
The Basic Long Sleeve Shirt is water-repellent and can keep out light rain, so it can also serve as a light shell. The fabric has countless special micro-holes, so it allows air to circulate without trapping heat.
Both the ``Alpha Booster Vest'' and ``Basic Long Sleeve Shirt'' are highly breathable, making them the perfect combination for regulating body temperature while on the move.
It is a delicate material.
You need to be careful about things like friction between fibers and hook-and-loop fasteners (Velcro). I've been wearing Alpha® Direct products for the past few years, and I've just accepted that this is what Alpha® Direct is like. I think it's a fabric with the capabilities to make up for its disadvantages.

Please note that this product is available in both men's and women's sizes.
There is not much difference in the overall silhouette between the men's and women's sizes, but the women's sizes have a silhouette that is more suited to the female body type, such as the length and shoulder width.

Regarding washing synthetic fleece products
We recommend using a special laundry bag when washing synthetic fleece. One such bag is the GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag.
The GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag prevents microplastic fibers, which are released when washing synthetic products, from entering rivers and oceans.
By using this bag, the fibers that are discharged after washing will gather in the corners of the bag and can be easily removed.
[The problem of microplastics]
Microplastics released during washing are harmful to the environment.
After every wash, millions of synthetic fabrics are released into the washing machine, where they end up in rivers, lakes and oceans. These microfibers can pick up bacteria and contaminants that are then consumed by aquatic life, causing gastrointestinal infections, blockages, reproductive problems and starvation.
The serious consequences are not limited to animals and nature: tiny plastic fragments also pose a threat to our own health: they make their way up the food chain into our food and into our bodies.
