The face fabric has been changed to a 140-denier-equivalent 70-denier doubled mechanical stretch nylon. Moving up from the previous 50-denier fabric has significantly improved resistance to abrasion and tearing along with stretch. Breathability and water repellency remain at the previous level, while water-resistance has also improved. The balance between durability and suppleness is strong, reducing stiffness when worn.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eArticulated cut built around shoulder ROM, with a revised back pattern\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAn articulated cut designed around the shoulder joint's ROM (Range of Motion), which moves through a wide range. The construction reduces fabric pull and tension even when raising and lowering your arms, using poles, or moving against a pack's shoulder harness. The chin curve has been revised to create space between your mouth and the shell, so the collar doesn't press against your mouth and interfere with breathing at high speed or in deep snow. A wide drawcord channel fits snugly across the forehead, keeping out wind and rain.
